Physiotherapist Contractor

Location note: These opportunities typically require 1 or more hours of travel from Red Deer, Edmonton, or Calgary. Additional pay considerations for applicants available for overnight travel if required. Travel time, mileage, and accommodations will be generously compensated.

We’re seeking dynamic, experienced Physiotherapists who are able to work with a high degree of efficiency and independence. Contracts involve providing high-priority “public health” physiotherapy interventions in under-served rural communities. Opportunities exist in acute care, home care, ambulatory outpatients, and continuing care. Job duties vary per site, and can be matched to your interests and skill set.

8-hour day shifts are typically required (not casual or per-client referrals). Additional hours are often available. Work schedules are flexible and negotiable, but at least 2 weekdays of availability is preferred.

Preference will be given to those with varied, current, and direct related experience. We will not consider applications from therapists with a provisional license. AADL authorizer status and electronic charting experience (Meditech, ConnectCare, PCS) is preferred.

Salary: $50.00 to $65.00 / hour

Work remotely: Although some hours may be available for remote work such as for documentation and follow ups, the primary need is for on-site clinical service.

Contract length: 6-12 months, with likelihood of extension

Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

Salary: $50.00-$65.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Full clinical days, 8 hour shifts

Ability to commute:

  • Commute from Edmonton, Calgary or other major centers to rural sites: Ability to reliably commute, stay overnight, or plan to relocate before starting work is required.

Licence/Certification:

  • Alberta Physiotherapist License (required). Must be able to work without supervision.
